Micron Surgical Closure System


Mack Bio and Inaline Corp. have teamed up to raise funding for a novel, 3D printed, micron sized, surgical closure system that will potentially eliminate the need sutures as we know them today.  The system attaches tissue together by employing thousands of points of contact within and inch of incision.  This provides for low tension closures across a three dimensional space with no puckering or hinderance of blood flow to the incision edge.

Prototypes are nearing completion and animal model research is planned by February of 2017.
